Marla Harr is Chief Executive Consultant for 3C Management Training, a successful professional with more than three decades of corporate management and educational instruction. I help executive, middle management and teams to improve performance through the development of emotional intelligence and soft skills.
The core of my career has been in training, coaching, and counseling middle management, employees, and students. My broad work experience has given me unique perspectives on what is missing in traditional professional development programs. My training processes and methods are designed to be engaging, fun and interactive helping individuals grow, develop, and succeed within their own professional management style.
After graduating from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, my career began in retail holding executive positions in management, human resources, training & development, and information technology transfer. It was this diversified experience that gave me the solid business foundation needed to branch-out, change directions and become an entrepreneur.
I choose the meeting and hospitality industry as my next career path and my event management company Celebration by design, was opened. Going from one industry to a completely different industry has given me first-hand experience in career transition, learning a new industry’s culture and language.
After twenty years in the hospitality industry, I turned my interest back to training and professional development which led me to the Protocol School of Washington® where I trained and now a Certified Business Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant. Business Etiquette International is the professional development company I started in 2007. My next career step was to grow my love of training and professional development to focus on the often-forgotten middle managers, a position I held many times. 3C Management Training was established in 2019 offering leadership development services.
